Kia will be popping up on Channel 5 tonight in what will be its biggest TV campaign to date.
The Korean giants will be sponsoring a popular US crime series with the TV makers in a year long deal. The shows include CSI series, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Law and Order, The Shield, NCIS and Criminal Minds. CSI in particular has massive global viewing figures which show how serious Kia are at getting the maximum exposure.
TV is still the number one medium, especially now that interactivity plays a key role in how we watch and consume information. Each programme will start with a 15 second ident and end with a 10 second ident with five second idents at the start and end of each commercial break. This provides around 55 seconds of brand exposure within an hour of programming. The brand logo will feature on all of Five’s trailers for the programmes, further raising awareness of the Kia brand.
The idents will first feature the new Kia Ceed and the Kia Sportage idents are also currently in production. Further new models will be introduced throughout the year, keeping the idents and the sponsorship package fresh.
The Five sponsorship kicks-off with CSI showing at 21:00 tonight.
